Camping season is almost here, and we have a great calendar of events planned. Our event calendar is posted on the front page of the website for easy access using your phones and we will also have printed copies available for everyone. We need your help to properly execute some of the events we have planned this year. Here is a list of all the events we need help with, and the lead contact for the event for you to reach out to them. Note that this is not the complete event list for the season, just the list for volunteer help.
JUNE 15: CHILI COOKOFF
Event Lead Coordinator: Michelle Birch
Volunteers Needed: 12
Volunteer Duties: Help set up and tear down event, cook french fries and hot dogs (3-4 people), serve french fries hot dogs (2 people) and chili (6 people). Chili Cookoff contest entrants are encouraged to volunteer if possible.
JUNE 29: CANADA DAY CARNIVAL
Event Lead Coordinator: DAVE BIRCH
Volunteers Needed: 10
Volunteer Duties: Bouncy castle attendants (6 people), refreshments (2 people). set up/tear down (2 people) tables, etc… If extra volunteers are available, we may add activities/duties as possible.
JULY 6: KIDS FISHING DERBY
Event Lead Coordinator: BRUNO ANELLO
Volunteers Needed: 6
Volunteer Duties: Set up, tear down tables, supplies and equipment (2 people), serve refreshments (2 people), assist participants (2 people).
AUGUST 3: B.Y.O. POOL PARTY
Event Lead Coordinator: ALEX LECUYER
Volunteers Needed: 0
Ok, so we don’t really need volunteers for this event, but we do need all the participants to have their pools set up prior to the arrival of the water truck. We hope to see lots of participation for this fun event, so please reach out to Alex and let him know you want to join in the fun!
AUGUST 10: THE AMAZING RACE SPRINGWATER 2024

Volunteers Needed: 0
Ok, so we don’t really need volunteers for this even either, but we do want lots of game hosts and participants. Please start thinking about fun games that can be played quickly in a “minute to win it” type format. We also have lots of game ideas if you need help. Due to the need for printing game layout(s), maps, etc… we need to have all the hosts and games on our list no later than August 3rd.
We have a lot of other events planned this year that we don’t foresee the need for additional volunteers, but we are always happy to have help with our BBQ’s, and helping with set up and tear down of other events like Karaoke. We also hope to have lots of participation for our potlucks and game nights. If you would like to help out with anything, or have an idea for a future event, please reach out to us!
